Personal stuff about me

Though this section will be interesting only to people who already know me, I've decided to put a little information about myself in here. I'm Dutch, which is a disadvantage when writing pages in English, but I don't make the usual mistakes with "too" and "to" or "than" and "then". But if you have comments on my English anyway, do let me know.

These pages are not in Dutch, because I have friends in other countries, and I don't want to limit my audience to just Dutch people. Some of the links will lead you to sites that are not in English. These links will have "[Dutch]" behind them, so they will be easy to recognize.

Personal information

Because people have asked me to put a bit more on the web than just my name and what kind of study I am (or was) doing, here's the list:

Name: Peter Visser (in Dutch it's officially 'Pieter' though)

Date of birth: Somewhere in August 1974 (yes, I do know the precise date ;)

Education: Computer Science at the University of Groningen (finished august 2001, started a "few" years earlier)

Occupation: IT-specialist (well, that's what it says on my paycheck), since november 2000

Also due to popular demand, there's a link to my picture gallery, consisting of only a few pictures that were scanned by someone else. They're quite old, but that happens with pictures.
